Doctor G: Ayushmann Khurrana begins shooting for his third movie amid pandemic

Ayushmann Khurrana has started filming for his upcoming film Doctor G that also has Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. The shoot of the movie has been scheduled in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Doctor G is Ayushmann’s third film to be shot during the pandemic. The Vicky Donor star revealed the same in his recent Instagram post.

On the first day of shooting of Doctor G, Ayushmann shared a pic of himself wearing a mask and a t-shirt, captioned, “Always late but worth the wait.” The Instagram post reads: “Day 1 #DoctorG This is the third film I’ll be shooting in the pandemic. But summers will be tough. One of the best scripts I’ve ever read.”

While sharing her excitement, Rakul commented on the post and revealed that Doctor G is her third film during the pandemic too and she cannot wait to join the cast. The upcoming film also features Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chadha in significant roles.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann was last seen on Amazon Prime Video’s 2020 comedy-drama Gulabo Sitabo alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The actor has also finished the shooting for the upcoming action thriller Anek, which has been directed by Anubhav Sinha.

Rakul Preet, who will soon be joining Ayushmann in Bhopal for Doctor G, was last seen in Arjun Kapoor’s Sardar Ka Grandson that also had Neena Gupta in a pivotal role. The actress is currently filming the Hindi action thriller Attack opposite John Abraham. She is also part of Mayday alongside Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan.
