Farzi is finally streaming on Prime Video.
During the shoot of Farzi several behind-the-scenes photos made it to the Internet, which increased the excitement for the series. Among them were a few snaps that featured Manoj Bajpayee. The talented actor was seen posing with both Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi on the sets of Farzi. This made people think that the new Prime Video series might talk about The Family Man. Well, fans who weren't anticipating it are in for a surprise.
Spoilers Ahead! In one of the episodes, Sethupathi's character gets a call from none other than The Family Man Season 2's Chellam Sir, played by Uday Mahesh. This was a delightful surprise to see both actors interacting about who knew what about the case. Soon after that, Sethupathi, as Michael, gives a call to a certain Tiwari, and the easily recognisable voice confirms that it's Bajpayee. Yes, Srikant Tiwari also makes an appearance, but only via phone call in Farzi.
Even if it's a phone call, we know that The Family Man and Farzi belong to the same universe. Well, with this, we can expect that there will be more collaborations in the future between these amazing characters created by Raj and DK.
Earlier, while talking about the crossover, a source told Bollywood Hungama, "The talented director duo has created their own Spy Universe. Their latest show, Farzi which releases tomorrow, February 10, is from the same universe as Manoj Bajpayee’s much-loved series, The Family Man. In fact, they have also attempted a crossover between the two series. Viewers will get to experience it in Farzi and are surely going to lap it up."
The source added, "We have seen many cinematic universes. Raj and DK’s Spy Universe is the first such digital universe, especially for OTT in India. It also opens up plenty of opportunities for the writers and makers as both shows have some interesting characters."
Well, the wait is finally over, and Farzi is now available to watch on Prime Video.
