Do Patti Trailer Launch: Kajol opens up on playing a cop for first time in Kriti Sanon-produced film; 'When you wear an actual uniform...'

At the trailer launch of Do Patti, Kajol shared her feelings about wearing a uniform and playing the role of a cop. The film is scheduled for a direct-to-OTT release on Netflix on October 25.

Do Patti marks the debut of Kriti Sanon as a producer. Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, the film also stars Kajol apart from Kriti. After a long wait, the trailer of the film was finally released today, October 14. At the trailer launch event, Kajol was asked to share her experience of playing a cop for the first time in the film.

When asked how it feel to play a cop in Do Patti, Kajol said that she felt immense respect.

Adding how she has not asked her husband, Ajay Devgn's feelings about playing a cop, the actress added, "When you wear an actual uniform and go on see at least I felt it, I don't know I have not asked Ajay Devgn what he has felt but I definitely felt it gives you a certain sense of authority, respect that you feel for yourself and for everybody else in uniforms so its a way of looking at it completely different so that's the feel."

Notably, Ajay has been playing a cop in Rohit Shetty's Singham franchise. He will be seen in the upcoming Singham Again.

The trailer of Do Patti shows Kajol in the role of a police officer while Kriti has a double role. The latter will be seen as Saumya Sood and Shailee. On the other hand, Shaheer Sheikh essays the character of Dhruv Sood. Written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti follows Kajol investigating a crime involving Kriti and Shaheer's love story. The evil twin' trope of the story shows one sister wants to live a normal life surrounded by love, while the other wants to destroy her dreams and desires.

Sharing the trailer, Kriti penned a heartwarming note as the film marks her debut as a producer. The actress wrote on her Instagram, "My first as a producer! My first with a double role.. one of my most challenging roles.. This butterfly’s kattha is too special.. @bluebutterflyfilmsofficial Twists, turns, rivalry, love, hurt and an important subject that the entire team feels strongly for. Can’t wait for you all to watch the film.."

Meanwhile, Do Patti is scheduled to premiere on October 25 on Netflix. Do Patti was first announced on July 5, 2023.
