Divya Agarwal, who had won Bigg Boss OTT in 2021, got married to her fiancé Apurva Padgaonkar on February 20. She has now spoken up on her purple wedding, which was a hatke theme from the conventional marriages. Divya and Apurva tied the knot on her terrace.

The purple wedding

Talking to Hindustan Times, Divya said that she wanted to go unconventional. Thus, she decided against wearing green for mehendi and yellow for haldi ceremony. She also shared on having chips packets in the background for the haldi ceremony. Divya recalled that it is how she connected with her bridesmaids and thus, that was a memory.

No cold feet before the wedding

When it comes to spending a lifetime with another person, at least one partner or both feel cold feet ahead of the wedding day. However, Divya argues that it was not the case with her and Apurva. “We were very happy and amongst ourselves,” she said adding that they did not care about anybody else but enjoying their day to the fullest.

Divya’s most special moments from the wedding

Divya enjoyed every moment of the terrace wedding but some moments just stuck with her. Talking about the same, she revealed that the pheras and sindoor were special moments for her. “It will be stuck in my head for sure,” she assured.

Have things changed?

Things have changed for Divya and Apurva but for the better. “Love has increased in two days,” she says, adding that being married has brought her and Apurva closer than ever. She loves dressing herself up in sindoor and mangalsutra but otherwise, not much changed, since she was anyway living with Apurva even before tying the knot with him.

The two are back at work and look forward to their honeymoon in the future. They have finalized Massaai Mara, Kenya, as their destination and hope to make it there in April.
