Disney+Hotstar releases 'Grahan' trailer starring Pavan Malhotra and Zoya Hussain
Directed by Ranjan Chandel, the Disney+Hotstar Special is inspired by Satya Vyas’ popular literary work ‘Chaurasi’.

Disney+Hotstar has released the trailer of their upcoming special Grahan today. The show is a mystery drama starring Pavan Malhotra and Zoya Hussain alongside Anshuman Pushkar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Teekam Joshi and Sahidur Rahman. Based on the popular novel Chaurasi by Satya Vyas, the story covers two tales set apart by three decades that are connected by one truth.The show will premiere on Jun 24 on Disney+Hotstar VIP.
The eight-episode Hotstar special revolves around the story of a young IPS Officer, Amrita Singh (played by Hussain) who is made in charge of a special investigation from the past only to discover that her father, Gursevak (played by Malhotra) is the one accused of the heinous crime. Torn between family and duty, the show will chronicle Amrita's journey as she unravels the truth behind the mystery, affecting her professional as well as her personal life.
Speaking of Grahan, the show's lead Pavan Malhotra said in a statement, “An innocent love story, a riveting mystery, a complex web of emotions, but most importantly Grahan is the search for the truth. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of many movies and TV shows in my career, but this one is really special to me because of its strong narrative. The question is – what secret is my character Gursevak hiding from the rest of the world? It’s a well-made series and I think viewers will appreciate the story we have tried to weave.”
Making her digital debut with the show, actor Zoya Hussain added, “Grahan is about an emotional turmoil when an investigation gets too personal. Viewers will see the story unfold from my character Amrita’s lens. The interpersonal dynamics of all the characters, the treatment and the nuanced writing is what makes it starkly different than any other show in the digital world. The way the story moves between characters while capturing real emotions is what adds to the overall charm of the show.”
The mystery drama series is directed by Ranjan Chandel with Shailendra Jha as showrunner. The series is produced by Jar Pictures.
