The digital rights for Kamal Haasan's much-awaited film, Vikram has been bagged by Disney + Hotstar. The digital streaming partner made the announcement today on its social media page, "Here's the #BigAnnouncement #Vikram #DigitalStreamingPartner #DisneyplusHotstar (sic)"

The content studio wrote on its social media handle, "Yet another proud and landmark moment in our ever growing association. In cinemas worldwide on June 3rd #KamalHaasan #VikramFromJune3 @ikamalhaasan @Dir_Lokesh @anirudhofficial @RKFI @DisneyPlusHS @vijaytelevision @StarMaa @StarSuvarna @StarGoldIndia @asianet #Mahendran (sic)."

It was only recently that the film's production house had announced the date of the trailer and soundtrack release. "The trailer and soundtrack from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Vikram will be released on May 15. The film's production house made the announcement on its social media page today. They wrote, "Firing up your playlists with @anirudhofficial 's explosive tracks for Vikram From May 15. #VikramAudioLaunch #KamalHaasan #VikramFromJune3 @ikamalhaasan @Udhaystalin @Dir_Lokesh @VijaySethuOffl #FahadhFaasil #Mahendran @turmericmediaTM @SonyMusicSouth @RedGiantMovies_ (sic)." Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander.

Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is billed as an action thriller. Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil will be sharing the screen space with Kamal Haasan in it. The rest of the star cast includes Antony Verghese, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Shanvi Srivastava,Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj.

Vikram marks Anirudh's second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2, and with Lokesh Kanagaraj after Master. This is Fahadh's third film in Tamil after Velaikkaran and Super Deluxe.

As part of the film's promotions, the team had designed posters for locomotive trains across India in collaboration with the Southern Railways. The film is scheduled to hit screens on June 3. Vikram NFTs will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
