The filmmaker's last film Chuttalabbai, starring Aadi Saikumar and Namitha Pramod, released nearly six years ago
Filmmaker Veerabhadram Chowdary, who assisted several leading directors EVV Sathyanarayana, Teja, Krishna Vamsi and A Karunakaran, had a terrific start to his career with consecutive hits like Aha Naa Pellanta and Poola Rangadu. While the failure of Nagarjuna's Bhai dented his prospects, his effort to strike form with Aadi Saikumar's Chuttalabbai, didn't exactly prove successful either. It took several years for the director to bag his next project, Kirathaka, also starring Aadi (and Payal Rajput).
The director celebrated his birthday on Wednesday amidst several counterparts from the industry in Hyderabad. Veerabhadram was recently in the news for directing a real-estate ad with actor Srikanth that impressed many. At his birthday celebrations, Veerabhadram had confirmed that he'll make an official statement about his next soon. His upcoming project, after Kirathaka, is reportedly in the pre-production phase and will feature a young actor in the lead.
The aforementioned project will go on floors shortly and is expected to release in 2022 itself. An official announcement from the producers will be out soon, Veerabhadram shared. "I'll be back to entertain audiences with a gripping story and screenplay. I thank my producers for hosting a grand birthday bash for me," he said. Meanwhile, Kirathaka's release date isn't confirmed yet. The film is produced by Nagam Tirupathi Reddy and has music by Suresh Bobbili.
