Nithiin, Sreeleela play the lead roles in the entertainer that releases on December 8
Popular writer Vakkantham Vamsi, who made his directorial debut with Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya, is wielding the megaphone after 5 years for Nithiin, Sreeleela starrer Extra Ordinary Man. The entertainer, produced under Nithiin’s home banner Sreshth Movies, is a fun take on the highs and lows in the life of a junior artiste in Telugu cinema. Ahead of its release on December 8, the director and Nithiin spoke to scribes.
Vakkantham Vamsi said, “Extra Ordinary Man will be a tasty biryani. Without Nithiin’s support, it wouldn’t have been possible to make a film on this scale. I thank Sudhakar Reddy for the chance. In the industry, we experience highs and lows (referring to Naa Peru Surya) but I enjoyed writing it. I didn’t want to restrict myself to one genre and felt it would be fresh to explore a story around a junior artiste. The scene on Balakrishna will be a major highlight.”

Nithiin stated that the trailer drew good responses from his family, friends and viewers. “The fact that the media has asked us to play the trailer twice at this event explains how far it has clicked with crowds. Extra Ordinary Man comes with extra entertainment and will be an ‘extra’ ordinary film. This is the best character in my career. We’ve made a conscious decision to promote the film in the US,” he shared.
On a lighter note, the actor referred to another hit film MAD. “Just like how its producer S Naga Vamsi promised to return the ticket price if the film didn’t entertain audiences, you can ask him that sum even if Extra Ordinary Man doesn’t deliver on its promise. Jokes apart, you’ll definitely enjoy our film. December 8 is going to be a memorable day for my team and audiences,” he exuded confidence.
Extra Ordinary Man also stars Rao Ramesh, Sudhev Nair, Rohini and Rajasekhar. The film has music by Harris Jayaraj. A new song from the film Ole Ole Paapaayi was launched earlier today.
