A few days ago, when director Shashank released a new song from his upcoming movie Love 360, he had announced that he was looking at releasing the film sometime in August. “There are a lot of big films lined up for release in the coming weeks. Love 360 is not a film that can afford a clash with a biggie or even come to theatres a week before or after a major release. We are looking out for a good window to release the film. This is a film with newcomers and needs some breathing space. The minute I am convinced that we’ve got a good window, we will announce the release date,” he had said at the event, when asked why his film was delayed, even though it has been ready for a while.

Today, Shashank revealed that the film, which is the launchpad of Praveen, will be in theatres on August 19. The film has set up a box office clash with Daali Dhananjaya’s film with Rachita Ram, Monsoon Raaga, and comes only a week after Ganesh’s Gaalipata 2, so there’s not much breathing space after all.

Love 360 is a unique love story that explores the lengths that a couple will go to safeguard their relationship. “It’s about unconditional love and standing by each other through thick and thin; hence the title, which signifies that all angles of love have been explored. However, the film is not only about the love story and involves a crime as well, which will bring in some intense moments in the narrative,” Shashank had told us earlier. He added that even though there is a crime narrative, it does not lead into a lot of action.

After the film was censored, the filmmaker mentioned that the report from members that certified it was very encouraging. “Based on the title, they thought it was going to be a routine love story. They found the concept novel and wished us well. The film has been cleared U/A,” he said.
