Director Shashank’s latest release Love 360 might have had a slow start at the box office but the word-of-mouth publicity helped the film eventually gain traction. Thanks to the recent emotional plea made by Shashank concerning the poor footfall in theatres Love 360 earned credibility over the course and is now even up for an official remake.

Yes, director Shashank himself took to social media recently to gladly announce that a reputed banner from the Telugu and Tamil film industries will soon be remaking Love 360 in both languages. The exact details of the remake will be shared in due time, he adds, and thanked the Kannada media and audience for the support shown towards his film.

Love 360 stars debutant Praveen and Rachana Inder and is centred on the unique love story of the protagonists. The film released in cinema halls on August 19 and earned good reviews from both the critics and audience members with many praising director Shashank for successfully blending elements of a romance and a thriller. Arjun Janya's soundtrack, which includes the superhit track Jagave Neenu (sung by Sid Sriram), and Abhilash Kalathi's cinematography too received a lot of praise.

Love 360 also stars Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Sukanya Girish, Kaavya Shastry, and Danny Kuttappa. The director revealed in a recent interview that the title Love 360 is a reference to the South African cricketer AB de Villiers who is fondly called Mr. 360 for his 360-degree range on the cricket field.

For Shashank, this wouldn’t be the first instance of his film being remade in another language. One of his most popular films to date, Moggina Manasu was remade in Telugu as Lokame Kothaga while the Ajay Rao – Radhika Pandit starrer Krishnan Love Story found itself a remake in the 2018 Bengali film Piya Re. The 2015 Kannada film Krishna Leela too was remade in Bengali as Miss Call.
