Director Shankar says Kamal Haasan is a true legend in Vikram

Director Shankar seems to be the latest among the film fraternity to have watched Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Vikram. The director was all praise for the team and said that Kamal Haasan is a true legend in the film firing away from all angles. He also praised the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the engaging film, music composer Anirudh and stunt choreographers Anbariv.

Taking to his social media page, Shankar wrote,"#vikram Wow👏👏👏great to see @ikamalhaasan sir on bigscreen firing 360° 💥💥💥like a true LEGEND🫡.TREMENDOUS effort n style from @Dir_Lokesh 👏👏👏engaging,highs in regular intervals @anirudhofficial THE REAL ROCKSTAR🤗 ❤️@anbariv - masters🔥💯Kudos to the actors & whole team 🙌🙏 (sic)."

Shankar and Kamal Haasan are working together in Indian 2, the sequel to the vigilante thriller Indian (1996), which was also directed by Shankar. The star cast for Indian 2 includes Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh,Bobby Simhaa, the late Nedumudi Venu and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Music for the film is by Anirudh, cinematography by R Rathnavelu and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.

The shoot for the film had been put on hold after an accident on the sets, which resulted in the death of crew members. With the pandemic too raging and Kamal Haasan getting busy with Vikram, the shoot has been delayed massively. In the meantime, Udhayanidhi Stalin had recently announced at the success meet of Sivakarthikeyan's Don that the shoot for the film is likely to resume soon. He added that they are in talks with Subaskaran (founder of Lyca Productions) about the same.
