Director Lal Jose says he would love to work on the sequel of THIS Dulquer Salmaan-starrer

Lal Jose disclosed that he is currently in discussions regarding the second part with Iqbal Kuttippuram, who wrote the screenplay for Vikramadithyan.

Actor and filmmaker Lal Jose stated in a Kaumudy Movies interview that he would like to make a sequel to his 2014 film Vikramadithyan. He made this statement while promoting his upcoming movie, Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam. He disclosed that he is currently in discussions regarding the second part with Iqbal Kuttippuram, who wrote the screenplay for the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer.

"After Vikramadithyan's release, we had a story thread in mind and kept working on it over time," he stated. The lead actors in the movie, Dulquer Salmaan and Unni Mukundan, have since become more well-known than they were at the time, the director added. Nevertheless, he has not spoken with them yet.

Lal Jose went on to say that all his films have had several relevant threads within it. He added that the last 20 minutes of Vikramadithyan forms a similar plot of the recent Hindi film 12th Fail, starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar.

The family entertainer, which also starred Namitha Pramod, Lena and Anoop Menon, ran successfully in theatres for 100 days, with people praising the cast's nuanced acting and the film's cinematography.

Lal Jose in a pivotal role in Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam

Lal Jose is appearing in a prominent role in Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam which is slated to hit the big screen tomorrow (March 1). He mentioned that he has acted in over 25 films in cameo and small roles, however, his character in this social drama is a pivotal one and has enough screen space. “I am sure people will love this character,” he said.

Important roles in this film are also played by Gouri G Kishan, Aju Varghese, and Subish Sudhi. A social drama that tackles a subject that is still taboo in our culture is hinted at in the trailer. According to the trailer, the hilarious turn of events in the film centres on a male vasectomy initiative that is carried out in a panchayat as part of the National Population Control Mission.
