Director Jeethu Joseph discloses why his daughters raised doubts over making Neru
The audience is giving the courtroom drama excellent reviews, describing it as Mohanlal's powerful comeback.

Jeethu Joseph revealed that he gave his daughters the Neru script to read first, and his second daughter voiced concerns about the movie's production. The filmmaker referred to his daughters as his biggest critics. "In front of Santhi, my second one questioned if I really should make this movie. It had to be because of the unfinished script, which included long conversations with a lot of legal jargon," he remarked.
Jeethu made this statement while speaking to media persons during Neru’s success celebration meet in Kochi on December 24.
He said that Antony Perumbavoor, the film's producer, had a lot of faith in him and his work, which put a lot of pressure on him to live up to the expectations. The Drishyam director conveyed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the film's exceptional cast and crew. "I don't talk much, but today I am talking a lot because I'm happy about Neru's success and the responses from the audience," he added.
The audience is giving the courtroom drama, which stars Mohanlal, Priyamani, Jagadish, Anaswara Rajan, Sidhique, and Ganesh Kumar in the lead roles, excellent reviews, describing it as Mohanlal's powerful comeback. The film collected Rs. 3.04 crore on its opening day. During the film's pre-release promotions, Jeethu stated that Neru does not follow his typical style of filmmaking and does not contain any suspenseful or thrilling sequences.
Neru, bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical release.

Mohanlal starred in Jeethu's earlier hits, Drishyam (Disney+ Hotstar), Drishyam 2 (Amazon Prime), and 12th Man (Disney+ Hotstar). The actor will also be seen playing the lead role in Jeethu’s upcoming film, Ram.
In 2013, Drishyam took home the Best Popular Film and Special Jury Awards from the Kerala State Film Awards. Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu versions of the movie were also made eventually. The performances and captivating storyline won the film and its sequel a lot of praise from the audience.
