Director Harish Shankar to unveil the motion poster of the first episode from Satish Vegesna's web series Kathalu

What better feeling for a master than seeing his disciple grow? Satish Vegesna, the director of notable films like Shatamanam Bhavati, Entha Manchivaadavura, had assisted Gabbar Singh filmmaker Harish Shankar in the past. Now, as Satish is foraying into the digital space with a show titled Kathalu (Meevi Maavi), Harish Shankar will do the honours of launching the motion poster of the first episode of the show. The motion poster of the first episode, titled Padava, will be launched today at 3 pm.

Veteran actress Thulasi will also be playing a key role in Padava, sources confirm. Kathalu (Meevi Maavi) will be in the feel-good family entertainer space that the filmmaker is conventionally known for. Satish Vegesna has already completed shooting for three episodes in the web series. The maker, in an earlier media statement, had claimed that the show will be free from vulgarity and will be savoured by family audiences.

Satish Vegesna is simultaneously working on two other films, Kothi Kommachi and Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru. While Kothi Kommachi features Sam Vegesna and Meghamsh Srihari in lead roles, Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru is the acting launchpad of Narne Nithiin, the brother-in-low to actor Jr NTR. Meanwhile, Harish Shankar is teaming up with Pawan Kalyan next for Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh. The film where Pawan Kalyan plays a school teacher has Pooja Hegde as a female lead. The principal shoot of the film is expected to commence in June.
