Director Hanu Raghavapudi: Sita Ramam is Dulquer Salmaan’s best performance to date

The Andaala Rakshasi, Lie director had high words of praise for Dulquer at Sita Ramam’s teaser launch today

Hanu Raghavapudi earned credibility among many with his unique narrative style right in his debut film Andaala Rakshasi. Over the years, he has gradually cemented his authority as a storyteller with films like Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha, Lie and Padi Padi Leche Manasu. His next release is Duqluer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur starrer Sita Ramam on August 5.

The teaser launch of Sita Ramam was held in Hyderabad today. At the event, Hanu said, “I am happy to see so many people at once for a teaser launch. I am glad audiences are liking the teaser. It is for this experience that hundreds of people have been working so hard for two years.” The director has also co-written the film’s dialogues.

On his male led Dulquer Salmaan, the filmmaker stated, “Expect a performance of the highest order from Dulquer, this is his career-best to date. You’ll fall in love with him as Lieutenant Ram.The film has shaped up very well. I thank Dulquer for taking a major part in this journey for these two years. Sita Ramam wouldn’t have come so far without the support of producer Swapna Dutt.”

“It’s a very difficult film to shoot. There were varied climatic conditions across many locations and the temperatures went down to -24 degrees too. This could have happened only with the support and dedication of the cast and crew,” he added. Hanu labelled Sita Ramam a musical love story that audiences across multiple languages will resonate with.

Sita Ramam, produced by Ashwini Dutt under Swapna Cinema, has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar, cinematography by PS Vinod and is edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Sunil Babu is the production designer.
