Director Baba P R: Ashtadigbandhanam will be a feast for action and thriller junkies

Ashtadigbandhanam, starring Surya Bharath Chandra, Vishika Kota, directed by Baba P R is gearing up for a release this Friday. Manoj Kumar Agarwal is backing the film under MKAK Film Production. Baby filmmaker Sai Rajesh, Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana unveiled the trailer and the song I am With You. Ahead of its release, the producer and the director interacted with the media today.

“Just like the title, every second character in the film is out to wreck havoc on other’s lives. This will be a feast for action and thriller junkies. We’ll be launching a new trailer showcasing elements in the film that’ll be liked by all. Be it my debut film Saidulu or this film, I have made this purely trusting the story and it won’t change in the future as well,” the director shared.

Choosing newcomers helped me a great deal in extracting natural performances from the actors, the filmmaker said. He chose composer Jackson Vijayan after noticing his work for Fahadh Faasil’s Trance. There are three songs in the film on the whole. He thanked Manoj Kumar, the producer for believing in the script and ensuring complete freedom with the execution.

“It’s a story-driven film and I was very excited within the first narration. I’m happy to be turning a producer with the project. My faith in the script convinced me to take the plunge. We made it as per budget and I came into this industry, treating films as business. I later understood the significance of 24 crafts involved in the process. Films are art as much as it’s a business,” the producer stated.

Ashtadigbandhanam is a melange of suspense, good music, strong performances and impressive cinematography, the makers added. Mahesh Ravul, Ranjith, Viswender Reddy, Roshni Razak, Mani Patel, Naveen Kumar Gattu essay other important roles. Babu Kollabathula is the cinematographer. The film will release in over 150 screens across Telugu states this Friday.
