Director MR Madhavan's gangster drama Dinosaurs aka DieNoSirs is all set to drop on Amazon Prime Video on September 19. The film has Udhay Karthik, Rishi Rithvik, Saipriya Deva and Maara Jothi in the lead.

Dinosaurs, set in north Madras
The film is set in north Madras and revolves around three youngsters, who get entangled amid gang wars. When one of them dies amid the mayhem, and the other goes off to prison, the onus of seeking revenge for the  friend's death falls on one person. Will he be able to provide justice to his dead friend?

The Sridevi connection
One of the lead actors Udhay Karthik is the nephew of the late actress Sridevi. Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor launched the first-look poster of the film, and Boney Kapoor launched the film's title.

Dinosaurs Reception
The film hit screens on July 28 and it opened to predominantly positive reviews. Music for Dinosaurs is by Bobo Sashi, cinematography by Jones V Anand and editing by R Kalaivanan. Art direction is by R Valampurinathan. The film is bankrolled by Galaxy Pictures and was distributed by Romeo Pictures.  The production house announced that they will be collaborating with the film's director Madhavan, before the film hits screens.

The Mysskin controversy
During the trailer launch of the film, the Thupparivalan director, who was one of the chief guests at the event, stated that the film's director MR Madhavan's face resembled that of a chain smoker. He added that he used to smoke umpteen number of cigarettes during the making of his films, Chithiram Pesuthadi and Anjathe.

The ace director added that directors need to smoke many cigarettes when they are concerned about the project. This comment by the director ran into a huge controversy and he was criticised for endorsing smoking. Talking about the film, Mysskin had said that he was rest assured that it would be a huge hit.
