Diljit Dosanjh is all set to lend his voice talents for the upcoming English language animated series Fables. The upcoming series will mark the Punjabi star’s foray into mainstream English language TV.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Honsla Rakh star will be part of a stellar voice cast which will also feature Ricky Gervais, Jemaine Clement , Natasha Lyonne, JB Smoove, Roman Griffin Davis, Alexa Demie, Anthony Ramos and Zach Woods. Gervais will serve as the series’ narrator.
The animated show will be a contemporary retelling of classic fairy tales and fable stories. Some of the stories which will be told include The Tortoise and The Hare; The Lion and The Mouse; and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The animation for the series is created using Unreal Engine, a tool by Epic Games.
Fables will be launched by Bron Media Corporation who has produced films such as Joker, Bombshell Queen & Slim, Judas and the Black Messiah and the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The upcoming series will launch the animated division of the corporation, called Bron Digital. They will also reportedly launch interactive games and an interactive online community centred around the series.

Kevin Turen , known for his work on the Netflix film Pieces of a Woman is series creator and Azazel Jacobs serves as director. The script is written by Kyra Noonan.
A release date for Fables is yet to be announced.
