Set against the vibrant and culturally rich backdrop of Punjab in the 1980s, the Punjabi film Jodi is a musical drama that weaves together the fictional tale of two talented and passionate artists who are on a journey to redefine the Punjabi folk music scene.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira, the film takes viewers on a journey to the roots of Punjab.
The story follows the two characters and their journeys, from humble beginnings to their eventual rise to stardom, which sees them becoming celebrated musicians.
Audiences are in for a treat as the movie features Punjabi folk-inspired songs, with the talents of Diljit and Nimrat on full display.

Speaking about the film, director Amberdeep Singh said, "This film is a treat for audiophiles and lovers of cinema. We hope that the audience appreciates the time and effort that the team has put into bringing this project to life."
Speaking about his character and how the storyline plays out, Diljit shared that the film is scripted in such a way that audiences will experience every minute detail when it comes to his character’s development.
"There is a shroud of mystery that envelopes the destiny of these characters, and I am sure that audiences are eager to unravel this story," shared the actor and singer.
Jodi, written and directed by Amberdeep Singh and produced by Daljit Thind and Karaj Gill under the banner of Thind Motion Films and Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, is set to release in theatres worldwide on May 5.
