Dileep recently confirmed that a project with Tinu Pappachan is very much on the cards
In the past few months, there has been a lot of speculation whether Mohanlal would team up with Ajagajantharam director Tinu Pappachan. In fact, the filmmaker himself had told OTTplay earlier this year that there were a few rounds of discussion in what he called his “dream project” but the superstar was yet to give his go-ahead.
However, the project with Mohanlal seems to have hit a road-block, with the superstar’s commitments for next year including Telugu-Malayalam film Vrushabha, Lijo Jose Pellissery film and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Empuraan. This, however, seems to have opened up an opportunity for Tinu to take the project to Dileep.
The Ramaleela actor had recently confirmed that he and Tinu have decided to do a project together and the discussions are going on. Meanwhile, Tinu is currently busy with the shoot of Chaaver, an action thriller starring Kunchacko Boban, Antony Varghese and Arjun Ashokan. The film, scripted by Joy Mathew, is the biggest project in the director’s career.
Dileep also has two big projects lined up – Arun Gopy’s Bandra and a desi superhero film titled Parakkum Pappan. Bandra, which is an action entertainer, marks the Malayalam debut of actress Tamannaah Bhatia. The film, which will be shot across India over a period of 100 days, also has Dino Morea, Sarathkumar and Lena as part of its cast.
The actor also confirmed that the pre-production work on Viyaan Vishnu’s Parakkum Pappan has begun with the team currently working on its storyboard. There were also rumours that Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander is being eyed as the music director for the movie, which is expected to go on floors next year.
Dileep’s next theatrical release will be Raffi’s Voice of Sathyanathan, which also has Joju George, Veena Nandakumar and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The film had wrapped up its shoot earlier this year in Mumbai and Rajasthan.
