Amar Singh Chamkila has been garnering critical acclaim since yesterday. The biopic tells the story of the Punjabi musician, who was assassinated in 1988 along with his second wife Amarjot Kaur. Chamkila is still one of the most celebrated musicians in Indian industry. Hence, watching his story on screen was eagerly awaited by the Indians. The craze was so huge, that the biopic is currently ruling Netflix by grabbing the top spot on non-English films list today.
This success made Parineeti Chopra stunned. Therefore she shared with her fans that it was that epic project she has waited for so long. She also expressed her immense gratitude to director Imtiaz Ali for giving her the opportunity and believed in her talent, as Chopra hasn't done many films in her career. Amar Singh Chamkila also marks the 35-year-old’s second biopic. Previously she did Saina (2021), the sports-drama based on the life of professional Badminton player Saina Nehwal.
Parineeti also shared numerous people's reactions on Amar Singh Chamkila. Just 3 days back she dropped a video of her getting ready for the shoot, and wrote in the caption that Chamkila and Amarjot are the legends the world will never get again. Seems like Chamkila's life has hugely inspired Chopra.

During an interaction with Netflix, the 40-year-old singer revealed that he never hides a single thing in life. People even used to listen to Chamkila's songs secretly due to numerous scandals, but he never did that. Rather he is proud to listen to Chamkila's songs.
