Recently Kelly Clarkson, the winner of American Idol in 2002, has opened up and shared all her feelings and thoughts about Alanis Morissette. While talking on Thursday's episode of her own The Kelly Clarkson Show she shared that she bought her first dictionary because of her immense love for Morissette's album, Jagged Little Pill.

In the very beginning Kelly started to praise Alanis' songwriting and called it a unique ability to capture universal experiences.

What exacly Kelly said?

“You have a way of saying what we really want to say, or what we don't know how to identify," Clarkson said. "And 'Hands Clean' is a really rough song. Is it from childhood trauma?"

“I remember the record company having said, ‘Let’s do this video where it’s a karaoke and there’s kids and it’s joy.’ And I asked them, I said, ‘Have you heard the song?’ And they said, ‘Yeah, it’s great.’ I was like, ‘OK, so you haven’t heard the song,'” said the three-times Grammy winner.

Kelly wants to learn unique word collections from Alanis

Kelly is deeply fascinated by Morissette's ability to use complex vocabulary in her music. She even bought her first dictionary because of Morissette, wanting to learn the meaning of all the new words she was hearing.

The Since You've Been Gone singer made her own talk show shimmering with a powerful performance of Alanis Morissette's song Smiling. She effortlessly sang her way through the song, hitting all of Alanis' signature high notes.
