In a recent interview, film maker Boney Kapoor revealed that he had almost signed Priyanka Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh for a film titled Sardarni , but the film had got shelved!

The multi-talented Diljit Dosanjh never ceases to make news. Be it his films, or his singing or his adoration for Kylie Jenner or even his social media game, this man always is in the news for creating news! Only recently, his performance (even though it was a cameo of sorts) in the Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu starrer Crew was extremely appreciated.

Boney Kapoor was to do a film with Diljit Dosanjh and Priyanka Chopra!

Speaking about his performances, it was only recently that it came to light that the prolific filmmaker Boney Kapoor had almost signed a film with Diljit Dosanjh and Priyanka Chopra as the leading pair. The filmmaker had made this big revelation in an interview with Connect FM Canada. Boney Kapoor, while recalling the said film revealed that, while Diljit was always a good actor, he had planned a film with him and Priyanka Chopra, which was to be titled as ‘Sardarni.’

Reason why Priyanka Chopra wasnt able to do the film!

But it was around that time, when Priyanka Chopra got the offer of going to Hollywood to shoot for titled Quantico (the series that catapulted her to global name and fame). And when she was about to leave for Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra had asked them (Boney Kapoor and team) to wait for some time.

In the same breath, Boney went on to say that, even though they had decided to wait (for Priyanka Chopra to come back after doing Quantico), she went ahead and signed the second season of the show. The film maker added that when she (Priyanka Chopra) was offered the second season (of Quantico), they decided to give up because she had got stuck there (abroad) and that the kind of appreciation and offers she got there, she chose to make a career there. That’s when they decided to drop that film!

As of date, Boney Kapoor has confirmed that he will be making the sequel to the hit film No Entry with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor, which will be reportedly going on floors in the month of December.
