Did Silambarasan reunite with Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu for an action sequence?

The buzz is that Silambarasan, who is currently working on his long-delayed Pathu Thala, has reunited with the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu team to shoot an action sequence. Though the shoot for the film was wrapped more than a month ago and Silambarasan had shared a picture of himself from the dubbing session, the team coming together to shoot another quick portion had fuelled a number of speculations. However, there has no official clarification on why the portions were reshot, or these were new portions added to the film.The film's director Gautham Vasudev Menon, too, had recently revealed that if Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu works with the audience, he would consider making a sequel to the film.

In the meantime, the team is gearing up for the audio launch on September 2. A grand set is being erected for the same and the pictures of the set have surfaced on the internet and excitement of the fans is at it peak. It is said that some of the top stars from the industry are expected to be part of the audio launch. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. Two songs from the film have already been released, which includes Kaalathukkum Nee Venum, Marakkuma Nenjam and Muthu's journey.

The star cast for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav and Aangelina Abraham. Cinematography is by Siddhartha Nuni and editing is by Anthony. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will hit screens worldwide on September 2. The film has been bankrolled by Vels Film International and distributed by Red Giant Movies.

This is the fourth collaboration between Gautham Menon and Silambarasan after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn. AR Rahman is scoring the music for a Simbu film for the fourth time, after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
