Kamya admitted that she could only stand watching one episode of Sonakshi Sinha's most recent series.
Television actress Kamya Punjabi doesn't hold back when sharing her opinions in public. And this time, she did not hesitate to criticise the veteran star's daughter, whom she accuses of not knowing the basics of acting. Despite not taking anyone's name, Kamya said she was referring to someone who had recently made their OTT debut. Kamya Punjabi started watching their new web series, but before she could get through the first episode, she became disinterested.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Kamya said, “Bahut saare projects mein aise log dikhte hain jinko acting ka A bhi nahi aata. Sorry, but I won’t name them. Recently, I was watching a web show in which a big personality, the daughter of a very big actor made her debut. I started that show aur mujse ek episode se zyada hazam nahi hua because unko bilkul acting nahi aati. But what can one do... she is the daughter of a veteran, and then she is doing the web show.”
"Why are they casting actors who don’t know how to act and perform well? It is sad. Makers would cast big names, star kids, and established actors only because they want their projects to sell and be watched... But what’s the point? Where is talent?," she added.
Interestingly, recently, only Sonakshi Sinha is the actress who made her OTT debut so this indirect dig by Kamya seems to point all fingers at Shatrughan Sinha's daughter.
Meanwhile, Dahaad is a crime thriller, which is directed by Reema Kagti, also stars Vijay Varma, Gulshan Deviah and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles. On May 12, Dahaad made its debut on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video.
