Be it walking confidently at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France or promoting the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on a mass scale – Sara Ali Khan is leaving no stone unturned to climbing up the ladder of success and making a mark in the Bollywood industry.
Recently, during a promotional event of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke the 27-year-old star had an awkward encounter. Here’s what happened.
During an event hosted by news portal ABP, an audience member asked Sara, “If someone wants to be a carpenter, they will keep their ego aside, and will learn the skill for 2-4 years. Actors today, don’t take it personally, are just acting for the sake of it. When they know that they want to pursue it as a full-time profession, why don’t they take a sabbatical for 2-3 years and hone their craft? I don’t understand this.”
In response, Sara asked the person, “Do you think I should do this?” The person replied, “As Vicky said, it is a practicing art and it gets better with time, so yes, I think everyone should do it, and you should do it too.”
Sara got quiet immediately and did not respond for a few seconds. Vicky Kaushal (Sara’s costar in the film) grabbed the microphone and said, “It is subjective. Everyone has their own journey. If you have to do acting, there is no particular formula for good acting. It is about your observational and imagination skills. Sometimes, it is a natural talent also. Everyone is an actor since childhood as we all lie at some point or other. But our profession is to make that lie look like truth.”
On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in the film Sam Bahadur that is slated to hit the theatres in December this year.
Sara, on the other hand, will feature in Homi Adajania's Murder Mubarak and will portray freedom fighter Usha Mehta in the biopic Ae Watan Mere Watan.
