Written and directed by Sakshi Gurnani, it will premiere on Amazon miniTV. The makers have now released a trailer for the thought-provoking drama.

The trailer opens with the story of two best friends - a woman and a man. When the man shares that he has feelings for her, she responds that she never saw him as someone more than a friend. The story focuses on the struggle one faces whilst differentiating between consent and friendship, and more often than not, it ends in one blaming themselves. The film is produced by Yuvaa Originals.

Girish Prabhu, head of Amazon advertising, says in his statement that the platform Amazon miniTV always strives to try to bring impactful stories to entertain and enlighten the audience. "We know about consent, talk about it but how well do we understand or implement, is the real question. We are proud to bring this meaningful story to our library of award-winning short film,” he adds.

Nikhil Taneja, co-Founder and CEO, Yuvaa Originals, adds that Gray is a powerful story about consent, a topic that should be 'black and white', but is often dragged into the 'gray' as often, one fails to understand the meaning of 'No'. "We hope that the film helps clearly define the meaning of consent for everyone who watches it. We are so proud to collaborate with Amazon MiniTV because its wide reach will take this story to every corner of the country,” he said.

Gray will premiere on Amazon miniTV on May 20.
