The comedy film stars Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, and Kalabhavan Shajohn in important roles
Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role, has received its censor certificate. The film, directed by debutants Vijesh Panathur and Unni Vellora, has been given a clean U certificate by the CBFC. Along with Dhyan, the film also stars Aju Varghese, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Navas Vallikkunnu, and Nirmal Palazhi.
The trailer for the comedy-entertainer film was released on September 8. The film is expected to be like Malayalam vintage comedies with a rustic setting. Dhyan's character seems like a rough version of his character in the 2015 comedy film Kunjiramayanam. Aju and Dhyan's hilarious combo is being looked forward to in Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna after their previous collaborations in films like Sachin, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, and Kunjiramayanam.
One thing that is interesting about the film is that it features new versions of old songs like Vellara Poomala Mele from the Mohanlal-starrer Varavelpu.
Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna release date and OTT rights
Dhyan has revealed that the film has politics, but humour is its strong point. Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna is bankrolled by Murali Kunnumpurath and will hit theatres on September 15, along with Asif Ali's Kasargold.
