"As soon as I watched the movie, I said to myself, "Wasn't this exactly how we lived back in the day, with the same kind of mischief?"," said Dhruva Sarja at the trailer launch event
The trailer launch of Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare turned out to be an evening of memories and reflections for many of the guests in attendance.
The film, which is set to release on July 21, is set entirely on the premises of a boys' college hostel where, quite unwittingly, an incident occurs that triggers chaos and a sequence of uproarious events. What does the charm, though, is the blend of humour and absurdity in the narrative and the trailer alone suggests that the film will serve as a ride down memory lane to those glorious days of shenanigans.
For actor Dhruva Sarja, who was one of the few special invitees at the trailer launch along with Rishab Shetty, Rakshit Shetty and Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, the film was more than just a nostalgia trip but an emotional encounter, one that reminded him of his late brother and actor Chiranjeevi Sarja.
"The first thing I did after watching the film was call up many of my old friends to tell them that I missed them. But more than that, I missed my brother because the two of us stayed in a hostel for close to 7-8 years. As soon as I watched the movie, I said to myself, "Wasn't this exactly how we lived back in the day, with the same kind of mischief?". Nithin and the team have shot the film exceptionally well and this was when the re-recording was yet to be completed. I am waiting to watch the film in its re-recorded form but I won't watch the premiere show, I will watch it first day, first show when it releases," said the Martin actor.

Dhruva Sarja would also highlight the fact that the film boasts as many as 500 artists with one of the songs featuring all of them. The Action Prince would shower praise on the manner in which the song is picturized and choreographed, giving plaudits to director Nithin Krishnamurthy and composer Ajaneesh B. Loknath. He would also wish the film similar success as Rishab's Kirik Party and thank Rakshit Shetty for backing new talent consistently with his banner.
