Dheeren Ramkumar to collaborate with makers of ‘James’ for his next

Actor Dheeren Ramkumar, who will be making his debut in Kannada cinema with ‘Shiva 143’, is already gearing up for his second film. To make things better, Dheeren joins forces with the makers of ‘James’ and the team unveiled a special poster earlier today to announce the project. The yet-untitled film will be directed by Shankar Guru who broke into the scene not very long ago with the commercial hit ‘Badava Rascal’.

Interestingly, the upcoming venture will be the common second outing for producer Kishore Pathikonda. Kishore’s maiden project James proved to be a major box office success and even carried the distinction of being the biggest opener in the Kannada film history (close to Rs. 16 crores on day 1) until K.G.F: Chapter 2 came along. With Dheeren Ramkumar, who happens to be the son of former Kannada actor Ramkumar and nephew to the Rajkumar brothers, Kishore Pathikonda’s association with the Dr. Rajkumar family is sure to evolve and take newer shapes.

Dheeren Ramkumar becomes the third generation of actors from the Dr. Rajkumar family along with sister Dhanya Ramkumar and cousins Vinay Rajkumar and Yuva Rajkumar. Yuva, son of Raghvendra Rajkumar, is slated to make his debut under the direction of Santhosh Ananddram with the makers of KGF: Chapter 2, Hombale Films, bankrolling the film. The grand announcement was made recently on social media with many noted members of the Kannada film fraternity cheering the young actor on ahead of his new journey.

Dheeren’s debut film, ‘Shiva 143’, has had to endure a significant delay in its theatrical release. The film was initially titled Daari Thappida Maga to bear the same name as Dr. Rajkumar’s 1975 film but the makers later chose to rename the film to its current title. Malavika Kamath stars as the female lead with Anil Kumar directing the film and Jayanna-Bhogendra producing the film along with Dr. Suri.
