The film stars an eclectic set of young actors including Naveen Shankar, Aishani Shetty, Yash Shetty, Siddu Moolimani, Shambhavi, Omkar, and many others, with Sridhar Srikaripura writing and directing it.
The Kannada Film Industry has been churning out a multitude of ensemble films of late. With the constant influx of fresh talent across the various crafts of filmmaking, makers are exploring newer sensibilities through their films and one such attempt comes in the form of Dharani Mandala Madhyodolage. With no heavy-weighted stars to its name or a decent budget in hand, the film has managed to pique the interests of the digital audience as the very first teaser of Sridhar Srikaripuara's Dharani Mandala Madhyodolage makes its way out. Starring Naveen Shankar, Aishani Shetty, Yash Shetty, Siddu Moolimani, and many others, the film promises to be an intriguing watch with its focus heavily on the eccentric world of drugs, crime, and the transgression of many kinds.
Although the Dharani Mandala Madhyodolage carries the same title as Puttanna Kanagal's 1983 film, the upcoming film bears no resemblance in terms of tone and setting. As seen in the teaser, this one features multiple storylines that are to eventually converge because of a common link in the form of an incident. Naveen Shankar of 'Gultoo' fame, in a recent interview, shared that in Dharani Mandala Madhyodolage, many distinct characters are compelled to meet after a critical incident brings them together, thus leading to a dramatic conclusion. Naveen plays an aspiring boxer in the film who is struggling to move up the ranks in the sport and he is paired with Aishani Shetty in the film who, as the teaser reveals, is a pot-smoking, vibrant young girl dealing with the demons of her own. Yash Shetty, Siddu Moolimani, and many other characters too can be seen donning interesting roles in the film which is expected to release sometime soon in the theatres.
The film's music has been composed by Ronada Bakkesh and Karthik Chennoji Rao with Keertan Poojary handling cinematography and Ujwal Chandra serving as the editor. The producer credit is given to Omkar with co-producers Veerendra Kanchan, Gauthami Reddy, Raghu Kunder, and Sheshappa.
Naveen Shankar is also part of another interesting ensemble film titled 'Hondisi Bareyari' wherein he is joined by Praveen Tej, Aishani Shetty, Shri Mahadev, Anirudha Acharya, Archana Kottige, and many others. Ramenahalli Jagannatha makes his debut as a director with this film which promises to be an endearing nostalgia trip.
