Belli Kalungura derives the title from the 1992 Kannada film of the same name, starring Malashree and Sunil
Dhanya Ramkumar made an impressive debut in 2021 with the romantic drama Ninna Sanihake and is currently busy with many exciting projects. Having worked with Vikky Varun of Kendasampige fame for her second acting stint Kaala Patthar Dhanya went on to sign an alluring mystery thriller called Hide & Seek for her third project as a lead actor.
And now, in this very vein, latest reports reveal that Dhanya Ramkumar’s fourth acting project comes in the form of Belli Kalungura a family entertainer directed by H. Vasu. The actress will be seen sharing the screen space with debutant Samarth, an up-and-coming artist from Bengaluru, in the film which is slated to go on floors in October of 2022.
Belli Kalungura derives the title from the 1992 Kannada film of the same name, starring Malashree and Sunil. In the same reports, director H. Vasu confirms that the similarities between the two films end with the title and that his upcoming family entertainer is a film made for contemporary audiences. H. Vasu has previously directed films like Muraari (starring Sriimurali) and Viraat with Challenging Star Darshan.
Dhanya Ramkumar, on the other hand, continues to remain one of the most sought-after young actors of her generation. She is the first-ever female actor to emerge from the Dr. Rajkumar clan and has been striving hard in creating a unique niche for herself through diverse roles and films. While her second film Kaala Patthar comes as a drama with Vikky Varun playing the role of a soldier, Hide & Seek is a bona fide thriller in which she plays the part of an upper-class girl who gets entangled in a rather tricky and dangerous situation.
Hide & Seek also stars Anup Revanna with Puneeth Gowda directing the film: Puneeth has previously worked on films like Adhyaksha as an assistant director.
