Dhanush, who is on a roll with the super success of his recent outing Thiruchitrambalam, has three more projects in his kitty. Naane Varuven, which has the actor playing dual roles for the first time, is said to be hitting the screens on September 30.

Tamil movie lovers are wondering about its possibility as Mani Ratnam's multi-starrer film Ponniyin Selvan is also arriving on the same day. Director Selvaraghavan had recently announced that Naane Varuven is ready for release and that its official release date will be updated soon.

Vaathi is another much-expected project of Dhanush which has been helmed by Tollywood director Venky Atluri. Billed as a bilingual project, its Telugu version has been titled Sir. The movie is expected to revolve around relevant issues in the present education system. The makers had unveiled its teaser recently, which offered a glimpse into the movie's plot.

It's heard that the film is likely to release in December. GV Prakash is composing music for Vaathi and makers are busy with its post-production works. Samyuktha Menon is playing the female lead in the movie; this is the first big ticket film of the Mollywood actress in Tamil.

Silambarasan's Pathu Thala and Lawrence's Rudhran are other Tamil movies that are slated to hit the screens in December. If things go as per plan, Dhanush will end up having five releases this year, including Maaran and The Gray Man which had direct-OTT-release on Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix respectively.

Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller is Dhanush's next film; the makers had unveiled its action-packed motion poster recently. Billed as a period film which is set in the 1930s, the project is said to be based on a treasure hunt.
