Dhanush, who made his directorial debut with 2017 film Power Paandi, has zeroed in on his next directorial venture
Actor Dhanush, who showed off his directorial prowess with the critically acclaimed 2017 film Power Paandi, is preparing for his next project as a director. In 2018, the Asuran star was in talks for his second directorial project, which was to be a big-budget film with a large ensemble cast. However, the project was shelved. Dhanush teamed up with Sun Pictures earlier this year for his second directorial venture, which also marks his 50th film as an actor. Currently, the production of the film that is tentatively titled 'D50' is rapidly approaching completion.
Dhanush's second directorial project
It has now been revealed that Dhanush is gearing up for his next directorial venture. GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in to compose the music for this film, which he confirmed in a recent interview. According to reports, Dhanush's cousin Varun is set to play the lead role in the film, with Dhanush making an extended cameo appearance. Gopuram Films are the producers of the movie.
Dhanush's eagerly awaited project, Captain Miller
Meanwhile, Dhanush's period action Captain Miller, helmed by Arun Matheswaran, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes Shivarajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Nassar, Vinoth Kishan, and others. Captain Miller is set in the 1980s and is a period action-adventure produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner.
