The much-awaited trailer of Rakshit Shetty's Charlie 777 is all set to be launched tomorrow. Dhanush will release the Tamil trailer at 12.12pm. Director Karthik Subbaraj took to his social media page to make the announcement. He said, "Happy to announce that @dhanushkraja will digitally launch 777 Charlie official trailer tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜ #777CharlieTrailerOnMay16 at 12.12pm #777Charlie @rakshitshetty @Kiranraj61 @stonebenchers @actorsimha @kaarthekeyens @nobinpaul @ParamvahStudios @onlynikil @gobeatroute (sic)."

The film is an adventure comedy drama directed by Kiranraj K that follows the life of Dharma, whose life changes after he meets a dog named Charlie. It features Rakshit Shetty in the lead and has Bobby Simha, Danish Sait, Sangeetha Sringeri and Raj B Shetty in pivotal roles. Rakshit has also doubled up as the producer of the film. Charlie 777 is gearing up to hit screens on June 10 as Rakshit Shetty's belated birthday special. The film will have a mutlilingual release - Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

The film had earlier been announced as a December 31, 2021 release, but was pushed with no alternate date or the reason for the postponement. Rakshit had then shared on his social media page,โ€œWe understand many you are waiting for 777 Charlie updates. We are working on the release date which is suitable for all five languages. We will announce soon.โ€

As for the promotions, Rakshit had said that he was banking on word-of-mouth publicity in the first few days. The team will have 21 premiere shows across the country, even before it officially hits screens on June 10. The plan, he added, was to ensure that audiences come to theatres on the first three days, from whereon it will pick up based on word-of-mouth publicity. Rakshit also stated that he was counting on dog lovers to watch the film in the opening week itself.
