Dhanush, who has a few projects lined up in different languages, has completed two decades in the industry. The elated actor-filmmaker took to his Twitter page to pen an emotional note and thanked his fans, other movie buffs, parents, brother Selvaraghavan and other filmmakers with whom he worked over the years.

He began the note by mentioning that he hardly dreamt of coming this far in his acting career when he was acting in Thulluvadho Ilamai and thanked God for being kind to him. All praise for his fans, he said that he can't thank them enough and called them the pillar of his strength.

Dhanush then went on to thank film lovers across the world and media for their continuous support through the years. Next in his list was the filmmakers, producers and co-stars who worked with him. He remembered his brother and filmmaker Selvaraghavan and called him the guru of his life.

After expressing gratitude towards his father and filmmaker Kasthoori Raja, he said that it's his mother's everyday prayer that has protected him and brought him this far. He added, "I read somewhere that life is what happens when you are busy doing other things. I can't agree more. Let's make this one life meaningful. Let's make it count (sic)."

Mithran Jawahar's Thiruchitrambalam is his next release (July 1); the film is his theatrical release after three back-to-back direct OTT releases, Jagame Thandhiram, Atrangi Re and Maaran. Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven, Venky Atluri's bilingual movie Vaathi and Arun Matheswaran's untitled project are a few of his upcoming projects that are expected to hit the screens.

His much-awaited Hollywood flick The Gray Man, directed by Ryan Gosling, will drop directly on Netflix on July 15.
