DNS is now Kubera! Directed by Shekhar Kammula, the title of DNS, headlined by Dhanush, has now been revealed: Kubera. Check out the Kubera first-look poster here
Kubera first-look poster: The wait has finally come to an end! The eagerly-anticipated title and first-look poster for Dhanush’s upcoming film, which was tentatively titled DNS, have been revealed. The film, directed by Shekhar Kammula, has been titled Kubera and Dhanush looks almost unrecognisable in the new poster that features him as a homeless person standing in front of graffiti of Shiva and Parvati. This made Mahashivratri the perfect occasion to release the poster.
In the picture, Pravati is seen giving porridge to Shiva, who receives it with a smile. The poster suggests that the film is going to centre around Dhanush’s character, who is a homeless man. While the title ‘Kubera’ refers to the Hindu ‘guardian of treasure’, it is in contrast to the poster and the actor’s look. So, what does this say about Dhanush's role in the film? This is the thought that is top-most on most people's mind as they set about decoding the Kubera first-look poster.
Directed by Telugu director Shekhar Kammula, Kunera stars Dhanush in the lead role, along with a stellar ensemble cast of Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and Rashmika Mandanna. Interestingly, the film also marks the Tamil film debut of Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh. Touted to be an action drama, the film has predominantly been shot in Mumbai's Dharavi and Tirupati.

The actor was spotted shooting for the film at Tirupati and a video of him in his new avatar from the set has gone viral. The video features the Captain Miller actor in a gritty and unkempt look.
Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are backing Kubera. The technical crew consists of Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer, while Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre have handled the production design. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film. Although a release date is yet to be announced, Kubera will be a bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
