The postponement of the much-awaited film Salaar has created ripples in the industry. Many filmmakers in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam are shuffling their release plans and are trying their best to bring out their products on September 28.

Jayam Ravi's Iraivan, Siddharth's Chithha, Harish Kalyan's Parking and Ameer's Uyir Thamizhukku are the movies that were expected to hit the screens on this date. Now, Vijay Antony's Ratham has also joined the fray. The team made an announcement a couple of hours ago.

Dhananjayan Govind hits out at a production house

One of the producers of Ratham, Dhananjayan Govind, seems to be irked with a production house for coming up with two releases on the same day. Though he hasn't named them, it looks like he is targeting Passion Studios which is coming up with Iraivan and Parking.

His tweet read, "The ‘Blood’ & high stakes are there for every producer. Hope every Producer plays a fair game in business than following unfair practices to earn everything by himself (sic)." Govind also added that the production house is able to do good deals in satellite and digital rights, and hence they are not concerned about the welfare of other producers.

Releases galore in Tamil

The unprecedented situation has led to five movies getting ready for release on September 28. We will have to see if one or two among them postpone their plans. Meanwhile, September 15 will witness Vishal's Mark Antony and Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut's Chandramukhi 2 clashing at the box office.
