The cast and crew of Dhak Dhak had a once-in-a-lifetime journey from Delhi to Khardung La to film. For the first time in Indian cinema history, the entire cast and crew rode to the highest motorable pass on the planet to film an entire scene. The team completed the challenging Ladakh itinerary while battling harsh weather, including torrential rain, sandstorms, and temperatures varying from 48 degrees to -2 degrees.

Dia Mirza spoke to the first linear 40-day schedule from Delhi to Leh when she commented that making it to the Khardung La pass was the most memorable moment for them as artists on this project. Each of the characters in the story has a profound connection to it, and they all feel it. The actor is incredibly grateful to the producers, the crew, and most importantly, the Indian Army for helping to make the trip easier for them.

Regarding her trip, Fatima Sana Sheikh said that she was most looking forward to this schedule as she enjoys taking bike rides, but this adventure challenged her limits, both physically and as an actor. They finally arrived at Khardung La after enduring all the ups and downs. Shooting there was a fantastic and thrilling experience, and she can already see how much more she now understands about herself as a performer and a person.

When discussing the movie and the shoot, Ratna Pathak Shah shared that she would have laughed if someone had told her six months ago that she would be riding a bike all the way to Ladakh at 65. In many ways, this movie has a particular place in her heart. It has made her face her concerns, taught her to rely on herself, her crew, and her coworkers in challenging circumstances, taken her to one of the most breathtaking locations on earth, and introduced her to some fantastic individuals. A movie stops being a product and starts being an experience when it becomes an adventure for everyone involved and the tale ingrains itself within them.

While Sanjana Sanghi continued saying that there are some times in life that just don't feel real, that are just larger than life. Weeks spent travelling had been a life-changing experience for her that came to a stunning conclusion at the Khardung La pass, and it had been difficult and physically taxing but incredibly rewarding.

The producers are thrilled to have accomplished such a feat in order to provide viewers with realistic visuals and a sense of the scope of this original road trip drama.

Dhak Dhak a Tarun Dudeja-directed film produced by Viacom18 Studios, Outsiders Films, and BLM Pictures, will be released in theatres in 2023.
