Kangana Ranaut is preparing for the release of her upcoming spy action flick, Dhaakad. The actor has been busy promoting the movie and in a recent conversation with Mirror Now, was asked about Ajay Devgn’s statement about Bollywood Bonhomie and whether she thinks this camaraderie really exists within Bollywood.
Kangana replied, "But Ajay Devgn will never promote my film. He will promote other films but will never promote my film. Akshay Kumar called me, quietly, to tell me 'hush-hush' that you know, I love your 'Thalaivi', but he will not tweet my trailer."
When quizzed further as to why she thinks this is, she said that the interviewer should ask them and that she cannot answer on their behalf. Kangana then added that Amitabh Bachchan tweeted her trailer after it was released, but was quick to delete it.
The actor further added that she has reached out to films such as The Kashmir Files, Shershah and also Karan Johar’s films and that actors should support her like how she supports them. She answered that the bonding exists between these actors but they do not reciprocate support to her and that she hopes it will change,
Kangana will play Agent Agni, a spy in Dhaakad and will feature in a number of getups. She is also seen doing a number of action sequences in the trailer, taking out a number of bad guys with hand to hand combat, with melee weapons and guns.
Apart from Kangana, the movie also features Arjun Rampal as the main antagonist. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, and backed by Asylum films, Soham Rockstar Entertainment, and Sohel Maklai Productions, the movie will hit theatres on May 20.
