Dhaakad actor Kangana Ranaut says she's one of those very rare actors who has been successful as hosts

Kangana Ranaut's popular action flick Dhaakad is making its way onto digital platforms. The film, which also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles, will start streaming on ZEE5 from July 1. The actor recently opened up about how it is important to stay relevant globally with regard to the roles and projects she signs on.

She said in her statement that it is so important that one needs to be on their toes always. "My last film Thalaivi was very well received, it was a global release and this year, I’ve given a huge hit in terms of hosting. I’ve been one of those very rare actors who has been successful as hosts (Lock Upp) but still I feel one has to be on their toes and you’re as good as your last film," she said, adding that the digital premiere of Dhaakad will be very reassuring if it gets good views.

She urges the audience to watch the film on ZEE5 if they've missed watching it in theatres. She said the film is definitely very digital-friendly and has a great scope on ZEE5 because of its reach. "Such action films have been like originals across the world sometimes for a digital platform and they have done exceptionally well so our hopes are high with its digital premiere," she said.

The actor had earlier said that the film is made on par with Hollywood films like Atomic Blonde and Resident Evil. The spy thriller, directed by Razneesh Ghai, followed a deadly field spy who is on a mission to take down an international human and arms trafficker. The film was released in theatres on May 20 but failed miserably at the box office.

Catch the film now on ZEE5 from July 1.
