Devil is Kalyan Ram's latest film, which has been in the making for quite a while now. The period drama hit the screen on December 29, 2023, and it has received mixed reviews via word of mouth on day one. That is the reason Devil has started on a dull note at the box office.

We have come to know that Devil made only Rs 5 crore gross on day one worldwide. These numbers are not that great and the period drama needs to make more in the next two days or so. Once the weekdays start, things are likely to get worse.

Abhishek Nama has produced and directed this film and he has spent a lot of money on the set. The pre-release business was also done on a good note, but what is unfortunate for any Kalyan Ram film is that the audience won't go to theatres unless his film is spoken about as a hit.

Sadly, this is not the case with Devil as of now. The film received an above-average rating. Since there are not many other Telugu films that have been released, Devil still has a chance to make merry at the box office thanks to the long New Year weekend.

We at OTTplay have already reported that 80 sets were erected for this film and art director Gandhi is the man behind these sets. The props used for these sets were procured from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kolkata, Kerala, and Rajasthan.

Samyuktha is the female lead in the film. She has done three films before this: Bimbisara, Virupaksha, and Sir with Dhanush. All these films were big hits at the box office, making her the golden girl in Tollywood. So will that tag change with Devil? We need to see what will happen in the days to come.
