Jr NTR's Devara gets postponed. The action drama will now be released in theatres in October 2024. Read to know the new release date.
NTR in Devara
After the success of RRR, NTR is busy with his new film, Devara, which is being directed by Koratala Siva. The film's shoot is nearing completion and was supposed to hit screens on April 5, 2024. But as the post-production work was getting delayed, there was news that the film would be postponed.
As reported, Devara has now been postponed and will be released in theatres on October 10, 2024. This was announced by NTR with a swanky new poster. This is disappointing news for fans of NTR, as they have to wait a little longer to see their hero on the big screen.
Devara is all set to be released in two parts and the same was announced by the makers last year. As the film has an ambitious scale and is high on VFX, the post-production is getting delayed time and again.
Now that Devara has been postponed, Vijay Deverakonda's Family Star has finalised its release date. Dil Raju has produced this film, which also has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. Apart from Family Star, a few more films will eye this key date of April 5, 2024.

Devara has Janhvi Kapoor playing the female lead. She will be seen in the role of Thangam and Saif Ali Khan is the main villain. The news in film circles is that the film has been delayed as Anirudh is also not ready with his tunes and background score.
News of the postponement has been on for the last two weeks and finally, the makers put them to rest by announcing the new release date. NTR looks menacing in the new poster released by the makers. He plays a rugged village guy in this film.
Koratala Siva is also embroiled in controversy due to a plagiarism issue that has been haunting him for the last year or so. One of the writers in Telugu cinema filed a case that the story of Srimanthudu is his and Siva copied the same and did not credit him.
All these issues were disturbing the unit which now wants time to wrap up the film at a leisurely pace. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
