Devara: Part 1 is one of the most anticipated action films of the year. With Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan joining forces for the film, it has created a huge buzz on social media, thanks to its gripping trailer and songs. The film also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actors Saif and Janhvi. As the film is now nearing its release date, here's everything you need to know before watching it on the big screens.
Reportedly, Devara Part 1 revolved around the narrative of the Karamchedu incident of 1985. During the horrific incident, several Dalits were killed while a lot of them were injured and left homeless by upper-caste attackers.
The trailer of Devara Part 1 was released a few days ago and it unveils the gripping narrative that starts with a visual of a Red Sea from the world of Devara which haunts Jr NTR's dreams. We are then introduced to all the characters in the film with Prakash Raj's voiceover. We are also introduced to two Jr NTRs - Devara and Vara and Saif Ali Khan's deadly Bhaira. The trailer hints at stunning visuals with a gripping drama and intense action sequences.

Devara stars Jr NTR in the leading role with Janhvi Kapoor as his love interest. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Along with them, the supporting cast includes Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, and Abhimanyu Singh.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. Anirudh Ravichander gave the music to the film.
Devara will be released in theatres on September 27, 2024. In terms of box office clash, the film will compete in theatres with Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s rural comedy-drama Meiyazhagan (Tamil) and Varun Dhawan's niece Anjini Dhawan's debut film, Binny And Family (Hindi). However, this Jr NTS starrer is already looking like a winner given the craze around the actor and the film everywhere.
As per the streaming rights, it has been acquired by Netflix for a whopping Rs 155 crore and will be available on the platform after its successful theatrical run.
