Produced under Kalyan Ram’s NTR Arts, Devara is a two-part action franchise
Devara, a two-part action franchise directed by popular filmmaker Koratala Siva, is gearing up for a release in the first half of 2024. Jr NTR headlines the biggie, which marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor, while Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Jr NTR’s brother, produces the film under his banner, NTR Arts. Devara is his second collaboration with Jr NTR after Bobby’s Jai Lava Kusa.
At the trailer launch of Devil, Kalyan Ram’s action thriller slated to release on December 29, the actor shared that the first glimpse of Devara will be out shortly and the team has been working round the clock for it. He also requested film buffs not to pressurise the Devara team for updates, and he assured them they’re doing their best to please Nandamuri fans and the film won’t disappoint them.

“After one does a prestigious film like RRR, there’s a lot of responsibility for an actor, director and production house to live up to expectations and please audiences. You won’t accept a mediocre product, will you? We want you to be happy when you watch it. The visual effects are taking some time. Like Bimbisara, Devara will transport you into a new world,” Kalyan Ram said.
After the release of Devil, Kalyan Ram will begin preparing for Bimbisara 2, which will take off in April/May 2024. It’s unclear if Vassishta will helm the sequel to the fantasy drama, given the filmmaker’s commitment to a Chiranjeevi starrer, which went on floors recently. Catherine Tresa is expected to have a bigger role in Bimbisara 2; more details about the film will be out shortly.
Kalyan Ram had another release this year, Amigos, directed by Rajendra Reddy, which was the first time he donned a triple role. Marking the Telugu debut of Ashika Ranganath, the action thriller can be watched on Netflix.
