Even though it is not a massive box office figure in today’s film trends, it is indeed a massive amount for a re-released film like Devadoothan. The movie, which originally hit theatres in 2000, has clearly not lost its charm even a bit. If things proceed at the same rate, Mohanlal and Sibi Malayil’s re-released film will cross the Rs. 1 crore mark on Day 2 at the theatres and will mostly touch the Rs. 2 crore mark by the end of its first weekend at the theatres.

The recent updates suggest that the Mohanlal starrer has got over 20 extra shows across Kerala alone on Day 2 of re-release. Notably, Devadoothan was initially re-released on less than 100 screens, that too only in the prominent releasing centers across the world. However, while considering the increasing audience rush, the re-released mystery musical drama, which is famous for the exception music score composed by Vidyasagar, might end up as a box office hit after 24 years of its original release.
