Netflix Beckett Cast
Beckett has a cast of talented actors including John David Washington and Alicia Vikander, who plays Beckett’s girlfriend. Vicky Krieps plays the role of a political activist who helps Beckett to reach Athens and Boyd Holbrook plays the role of Tynan, an employee at the American Embassy in Greece. Apart from them, the film also features an expansive list of supporting cast.
Netflix Beckett Plot
Beckett starts out as a romantic story of a couple vacationing in Greece. They try to make the best of their time as there is no one else to disturb them. But Beckett apparently comes across the scene of a kidnapping, and when he tries to tell the police what he saw, they claim that there was no one there and he is making it all up. Soon he becomes the target of a nationwide manhunt and he wants to cross the country to reach Athens, where he hopes to find help at the US Embassy and hopefully get out of Greece alive.
What makes Beckett special from other manhunt stories is that Beckett has no mysterious background or affiliations. He is just a normal guy who clearly had no involvement in anything that happened. The trailer also shows us how Beckett suffers multiple injuries while running away from the people who’re trying to kill him.
The story becomes more intense as the embassy might not be able to help him and Beckett falls even deeper into the conspiracy as political unrest in the country increases.
Beckett release date
You won’t have to wait too long for Beckett, as the movie will be releasing on Netflix on August 13, a few days after its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival on August 4.
Beckett will be releasing just 2 days after Netflix’s highly anticipated The Kissing Booth 3 which releases on August 11. The movie will also be competing with other top movies such as Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy and Don’t Breathe 2 which are also scheduled to release on August 13.
