Jo Bo-ah will tie the knot with her non-celebrity boyfriend in October
Jo Bo-ah, most remembered for her roles in Destined With You opposite Rowoon and Tale of the Nine Tailer opposite Lee Dong-wook, has now announced her wedding. The news comes only two days after her new K-Drama Knock Off opposite Kim Soo Hyun gets announced. Jo Bo-ah was in a relationship with her boyfriend and is now taking the plunge. Jo Bo-ah will get married to her non-celebrity boyfriend in October at Walker Hill Hotel. The news was confirmed by her agency, XYZ Studios, on August 28. “The wedding will be held privately in Seoul, taking into account the non-celebrity groom-to-be and both families,” they reportedly mentioned.
Jo Bo-ah will continue her acting journey even after getting married. In fact, before her wedding announcement, her latest K-Drama was announced. It stars none other than Queen Of Tears actor Kim Soo-hyun.
Knock Off was announced on August 26. The K-Drama will be out in 2025. The series explores the impact of the 1997 Asian financial crisis, which is termed as IMF crisis in Korea. Soo-hyun plays the lead role of Kim Sung-joon, who loses his job and faces massive financial strain, since he already was an ordinary office worker in the first place. After the fall, he rises to become the vice-president of Saemmool Market. Jo-ah plays his ex-girlfriend, Song Hye-jung. She is a special judicial officer who will face-off over their counterfeit enforcement. Song of Bandits director Park Hyun-suk helms the series.
Jo Bo-ah began her acting career in 2011 and landed her first lead role the very next year, in 2012. She was a part of Shut Up Flower Boy Band, in which the actress played a rich girl who falls for a musician from a band. Her other popular dramas include Tale of the Nine Tailed, Destined with You, My Strange Hero, and Military Prosecutor Doberman.
