Poster detail for Yodha

Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha is being loved by all in India. The Box Office collections of the movie prove the same. After the initial dull phase on day 1 morning, the film took off and has only seen growth. The Box Office collections reportedly grew by 80% on day 2. The same might not be the case for Australia and New Zealand.

Yodha’s Box Office collections in India

Yodha minted Rs. 4.25 crores on day 1, according to a report on Box Office India. The movie’s collections grew over the day. It started with a bland morning but more shows filled up from afternoon to night.

Yodha’s collections in Australia and New Zealand

Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha’s Yodha, featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani in the lead roles, seems to have minted barely Rs. 56 lacs in Australia on day 1. New Zealand had an even more poor opening with Rs. 30 lacs on the opening day.

Comparison to Shaitaan’s collections on day 8

Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan is Yodha’s biggest competition in India and internationally at this point. Shaitaan minted Rs. 40 lacs on day 8 in Australia, which is Rs. 16 lacs lesser than Yodha’s Box Office there. The movie earned Rs. 16 lacs in New Zealand.

Shaitaan mints more in India too

According to Box Office India, Ajay Devgn-R. Madhavan’s Shaitaan earned Rs. 5.25 crores even on its second Friday i.e. day 8 of its release. The movie is touted as one of the best horror films from Bollywood. The Vikas Bahl directorial has now collected over Rs. 85 crores (Rs. 85.65 crores) and is likely to cross Rs. 100 crore mark over the weekend. If the film can hold even on its second Monday, Shaitaan can even cross Rs. 150 crores at the Box Office, thus making it one of the superhit movies of the year.
