Manoj Bajpayee is all set to be seen as a fearless journalist in the upcoming ZEE5 film, Despatch. The makers recently shared the release date along with a captivating teaser where Bajpayee's character can be seen threatened by digitalization. Now, the trailer release date has been unveiled along with a new poster.

On December 2, ZEE5 shared a new poster of Despatch. In the poster, we can see Manoj Bajpayee looking intense along with his other co-stars. Sharing the poster, the makers revealed that the trailer will be released tomorrow, December 3.

Sharing the post, the streaming platform captioned it, "The lies and schemes are unraveling soon. Trailer out tomorrow! #Despatch premieres on 13th December, only on #ZEE5! #DespatchOnZEE5"

Taking to their official Instagram account, ZEE5 announced that Manoj Bajpayee starrer Despatch will land on the OTT platform on December 13. Revealing the release date, they also shared the teaser of the film.

In the teaser, Manoj is seen drinking with Joy. Moments later, he is startled by a huge rock thrown at his window. After a while, a call from a private number alerted him: “Pack up and go home. NOW!” However, Joy remains resolute and continues his pursuit of the truth. “I can have six stories; but what’s most valuable is information,” says one character, emphasizing the important role of ethics in journalism.

The teaser further focuses on Joy facing dangers in his professional life but also the personal challenges that weigh on him. When it was revealed that his latest scoop revolved around the Rs 8,000 crore scam, the narrative escalated.

“You will be slapped with so many cases Joy sir, it’ll take you seven generations and 150 years to fight them,” a character says. Joy responds, “Once the story is out…” and the teaser ends.

Manoj Bajpayee on injuring his knees while shooting for Despatch

During a recent interview with PTI, Manoj Bajpayee shared that he has hurt his knees while shooting for Despatch.

"This film explores both the inside and outside worlds of a journalist. In trying to navigate these two worlds, my feet sometimes went here and there and in all that, my knee got injured. It's still healing," he added.

Meanwhile, Despatch, directed by Kanu Behl, the thriller film will be released on December 13 on ZEE5. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
